The PowerPACS components are listed here, grouped by function. They can
operate independently or together as a system to address a specific
application or workflow challenge, such as Teleradiology, film image
archiving, miniPACS, Document Scan, etc. All PowerPACS components
operate in true DICOM 3.0, so they maintain non-proprietary, open system
status and can integrate into other 3rd party solutions with DICOM 3.0
conformance.
PowerPACS components
are designed to distribute images and data over any network connection.
The PowerPACS suite of solutions utilizes the latest technology
advancements while strictly maintaining DICOM standards and HL7
interfaces.
PowerPACS
Acquisition
PowerPACS Scan &
Send
converts traditional film into DICOM images. Using the TWAIN interface,
it takes data from the film digitizer, translates the image into DICOM
format, and integrates demographic and study information.
PowerPACS VICS
(Video Image Capture System) captures frames of video-generated images
from analog modalities, such as Ultrasound or Nuclear Medicine, and
translates them into the DICOM format. Either of these products can add
an optional RIS/HIS Interface to include the DICOM Worklist Manager or
an optional Quality Assurance component that ensures the captured
images are reviewed before acceptance and transmission. PowerPACS
Document Scan captures hand-written notes and paperwork, converts
them into DICOM format, and then integrates associated patient data for
digital archiving purposes.
PowerPACS
Archive
PowerPACS Archive
Server is a
DICOM 3.0 image management system for the integration, storage, and
access of medical images and related information. It combines a proven
industry-standard database platform with a flexible hierarchical storage
management system for online, nearline, and offline storage, which can
be infinitely expanded to meet changing customer requirements. It
supports multiple storage media such as RAID, CD/DVD-ROM, AIT, DAT, and
more. PowerPACS Archive Server can also be interfaced with a radiology
information system to provide seamless interoperability utilizing
current ACR/NEMA standards. RADinfo Systems also provides disaster
recovery and secondary off-site storage systems that integrate with
PowerPACS Archive Server to ensure maximum protection of stored images.
PowerPACS Viewer
PowerPACS
Diagnostic Viewer
provides radiologists with multiple high-resolution monitors to display
full-fidelity radiological images, enabling primary diagnosis.
PowerPACS
Clinical Viewer provides an affordable way for healthcare staff to
view radiological images.
PowerPACS TeleRad
Viewer provides on-call physicians and others with easy access to
high-quality grayscale images for wet reads or remote consultations.
Entire image studies can be pre-fetched and pre-loaded as the physician
is paged.
PowerPACS
Web Viewer provides individuals, with the proper authority and
password, to view and manage image studies via an Internet connection.
All PowerPACS Viewers have the same graphic user interface and use our
FDA-approved RSVS™ technology that meets ACR guidelines. The viewer’s
easy-to-use image management tools include cross-sectional image
stacking, cine viewing, side-by-side viewing for comparing multiple
studies, window/leveling, magnification, measuring, and more.
PowerPACS
Distributor
PowerPACS CD/DVD
Distributor
centralizes hundreds of full-fidelity images and patient records from
multiple sources into one CD or DVD for a fraction of the cost of
producing individual films and reports. Each self-starting CD/DVD
contains a DICOM viewer and powerful image management tools that are
easy to use. The images stored in the CD/DVD strictly follow DICOM media
storage standards. Therefore, it can be seamlessly imported into any
third party’s DICOM system.
PowerPACS
DICOM Print enables staff to attain, optimize and print any image to
film, when connected to a DICOM printer. Print images from archive
servers, film digitizers, workstations, or directly from modalities.
Users can actually improve the quality of images before printing by
utilizing our proprietary image-optimizing tools.
PowerPACS Web
PowerPACS Web
Server is an
affordable way to securely extend DICOM 3.0 images and data beyond the
radiology department or imaging center using Internet technologies.
PowerPACS Web Server can be implemented in facilities still using film
or it can be added to facilities with an existing PACS. Using thin
client architecture, the system enables radiologists, physicians, and
other individuals with the proper access to view medical reports and
images on demand with any PC using Microsoft Internet Explorer and an
Internet connection.
