Seedlings for Africa (Carbon Off-Sets)

 Planting Olive Trees in South Africa is a commitment we made to off-set the Carbon Footprint of the Servers that run our Software Programs.  To further support our effort to “Give Back” and create a Carbon Neutral position for the environment, for each Archive System and RIS System sold in 2009, 2010, and 2011 we will plant two  Olive Trees.  While our primary objective is a Carbon Neutral impact, the subsequent benefits of planting are everlasting.  Planting and maintenance provide jobs in the local community; proceeds from sales of olives and olive oil help grow the local economy; olive wood is used by local artisans to create carved native sculpture—the process assists with abating poverty in the area.

The products that are repesented in the Carbon offsets are:

Neither Southern Imaging (www.simaging.com) nor our Partner Schaef Systemtechnik GmbH (www.sstmed.com) will financially benefit from the Olive Trees.  We will purchase those trees from the profits from the sales of the software.
